For over 70 years, the Sokil Group has remained a family owned and operated company dedicated to providing our valued customers with the highest level of service. William “Bill” Sokil (1931-2014) served as President and Chief Executive Officer with his brother Russel as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Both gained a reputation in the industry for their belief that anything could be transported across country-providing that they were able to get it on wheels. When once asked to move an oversized barge from a shipyard in Vancouver to a remote area of the Northwest Territories, they found the solution in cutting the vessel into several sections, welding wheels and a kingpin onto each section, and reassembling the vessel at the final destination. It was this kind of innovative thinking that set the Sokil Group apart from other carriers early on, making them leaders in the industry today.

Today, the Sokil Group comprises of several companies with services ranging from local courier operations, LTL and TL van and flatdeck services, to heavy equipment and specialty hauling.

We also offer Canada Customs (CW) bonded storage, distribution capacities, and deconsolidating and consolidating facilities as needed.
